Objective:
The test is designed to compare jungle companion (pet) damage using HP Flat Shard vs HP Scaling Shard and to show how it can impact clearing time/clear methods to choose, specifically here for Krugs, since the effect can be quite significant under certain conditions.
Rune Type:
The pet’s damage formula includes the following parameter: (+3% bonus health (HP)). Depending on the selected shard, you will have the following bonus damage differences:
Condition (Level 2)
Explanation of why I chose to show the damage comparison of level 2 (Krugs Intermediate/Hard method etc.)
This section explains how pet damage is calculated and shows the resulting damage based on the chosen shards and the number of ticks on the Krugs (or any other camp).
Damage per Tick :
The complete formula for calculating the pet’s damage per tick (true damage) is as follows: Base Damage (20–90 based on level) + 10% bonus AD + 12% AP + 20% bonus armor + 20% bonus magic resistance + 3% bonus health.
In our case, the formula takes into account the level, the AP from the shard, as well as bonus health.
The base damage of the pet increases linearly from 20 at level 1 to 90 at level 18. With 17 level increments, the increase per level is : Δ = (90-20)/17 = 4.12 per level (Level 1: 20, Level 2: 20+4.12=24.12)
AP from the Adaptive Force Shard : 9 → 0.12x9 = 1.08.
The bonus health damage depends on the chosen shard, as explained earlier.
